Someone wrote in asking about the identiy of a model on a postcard – wanting more information about that specific model. The short answer to that and any similar question is – if the model is French, there seems to be no information available (at least not in English. If someone knows a French source, please pass it on to me).
What I can tell you is many of the various publishers of the day tended to buy from the same photographers, usually whoever was popular at the time.You’ll find different sets of pictures with the same model appearing under three or four imprints through the entire history of the French postcards. An example is the model in question showing up here published by A. Noyer, Leo, and Sol.
